He passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 after an automobile accident in Cleburne. Doyle married Glenda "Rusti" Heflin in July of 1982 in Garland. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. "Papa Doyle" was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather whose character was a reflection of his faith in Christ. He had never known a stranger and was known to all as a great friend. Doyle, also known as Nick, began his long music career as a founding member of Bloodrock and played locally in Sundown, Will-O-Creek and most recently the Nick Taylor Band. He pursued his life-long passion for music and his talent touched many fans. His easy going nature and patient spirit will be greatly missed by all those that knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Landon.
Survivors include his wife, Rusti Taylor; children and their spouses, Chris and Kristi Taylor, Cassie Taylor, Shawn and Ami Sanches, and Chad and Linsye Taylor; grandchildren, Jordan, Jeremy, Jaxon, Jami, Jesi, Kyli, Koby and Ada; sisters, Wynonna Bandy, Darla Penny, Tina McMaster, and Lena Hopper; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
