Wanda Johnson led a very full and active life.
Even though she only stood up to a mere five feet
tall she could be described as very energetic, free spirited and somewhat stubborn at times!

She had a true love for life, her family, animals, the outdoors and antiques was insurmountable. These loves led her to two of her life's career choices. Her love of animals prompted her to start her own business, The Shangri La Poodle Salon, which she owned and successfully operated for over thirty years, not only as a professional groomer, but also as a breeder and handler of champion breeds of dogs.

Her passion and appreciation of antiques, and of the Victorian Era, led to yet another career choice. She began a career of the buying and selling of antiques at “ The Red Horse Antique Mall “ for several years.his appreciation also led to the purchasing and subsequent renovation of her 1905 Victorian Style home. This home became her family home of over 46 years and saw four generations pass through its halls.
Ms. Johnson was also known for her superb cooking skills. Her awesome lasagna, homemade potato salad and juicy country style ribs could not be beaten.

Ms. Johnson lived life by her own rules and never backed down from a challenge, She experienced various events from the driving of her own 18 wheeler cross country to parasailing in the Bahamas. She was also one of the founding members of "The Armadillo Motorcycle Club" and truly enjoyed taking long rides with her late husband, Brooks Johnson. She actually toured all of the 48 contiguous United States on the back of a motorcycle,
She enjoyed several activities throughout her life, She loved to dance, listen to country music and the challenge of a hard crossword or a competitive card game.

To say the least, she led a very colorful and eventful life. She was truly loved and memories of her will be cherished by many. Her style and grace was like no other! Her life was a true testament to a life NOT unlived, for in her life she LIVED and leaves behind the legacy of many lifetimes in one.

Her spirit and vibrant soul will be carried on through the laughter and character of all her family, that she not only encouraged, but also instilled her core values.

She may be gone but not forgotten!
