Services for A. D. Winsett, 84, of Grandview, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2007 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Rev. Charles Payne will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason Winsett, Jarad Winsett, Justin Blanchette, David Thrasher, Rodney Fowler, Maxie Fowler, Jr., J.D. Winsett and Jeremy Stone-Love.
Mr. Winsett passed away Friday, July 6, 2007 in Fort Worth. He was born August 18, 1922 in Alvarado, Texas to Joseph A.N. and Maggie Boles Winsett. He married Alice Mae Pate, November 7, 1942, in Durant, Oklahoma.
Mr. Winsett was a retired Texas Highway Deptartment maintenance employee. He served in the U. S Army and was a member of Sand Flat Baptist Church.
A. D. Winsett is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mae Winsett; daughters, Sharron Leck and husband, Benny, of Cleburne, Diana Reynolds, of Arlington and Sue McCoy and husband, Terry, of Joshua; sons, Edward Winsett and wife, Cheryl, of Cleburne and Michael Winsett and wife, Nina, of Cleburne; eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sister, Helen Tucker and husband, Bill, of Armstrong, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and five brothers.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday from 6-8 p.m.
