Ada Yelvington DeLaune Birdwell passed away Saturday, May 25, 2019, in Fort Worth. She was born July 24, 1933 in Highlands, Texas to Gardner and Ruth (Barrett) DeLaune. Ada married Joe Waymouth Birdwell on April 7, 1951 in Channelview. She was a nurse. Ada attended high school in Berea. The school was know as Jefferson Rural Academy. She made many lifelong friends there.
Ada is survived by her husband, Joe Birdwell of Keene; son, Pat and wife Debbie of Crowley; daughter in law Dena Joy Birdwell; 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; sister Doris Roberts; numerous other relatives and of course ‘Little Bit”
She is preceded in death by her parents and son Joe Michael Birdwell on March 21, 1952
