Service for Adalberto G. Salazar, 76, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Friday, Feb. 24, 2017 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pastor Gilbert Luera will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Albert Salazar, Jr., Raul Salazar, Kevin Boren, Adrian Rodriguez, Robert Valdez and Michael Rios. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Thursday, at the funeral home.
Adalberto G. Salazar passed away Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017 in Cleburne. He was born May 19, 1940 in San Jose Albuquerque, Sta. Ma. Del Rio, S.L.P. to Miguel Salazar and Bonifacia Grimaldo.
Mr. Salazar was retired from H.B. Zachry Construction Co. and was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and a friend to many. He was a member of the El Buen Pastor in Ft. Worth. He was mostly known as El Charro or El Maestro, for his profession at rope tricks or Floreo de Reata. As a younger man he traveled all over the United States with the Department of Tourism from Mexico.
Survivors include his children, Adalberto Salazar, Jr. of Austin, Mary Boren and husband Kevin of Cleburne, Raul Salazar and wife Mindy of CA and Dalia Salazar and husband Adrian Rodriguez of Cleburne; grandchildren, Julia, Christian, Kennedi, Sky, Amber, Zoey, Sienna, Bella, Mia, Miranda and Jacob; siblings, Paula, Luis, Isidra, Nicolas, Miguel and Cristobal; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him greatly. He was preceded in death by his parents.
