Alberta Echols

Services for Alberta Echols, 90, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 4, 2010 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Charles King and the Reverend Rodney McIntosh will officiate. Pallbearers will be Damon Ellison, Makiya Hogan, Charles Williams, Marvin Washington, Gerald Washington and Tommy Earl Smith. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Alberta Echols passed away Thursday, October 28, 2010 in Ft. Worth. She was born December 8, 1919 in Caldwell to Richard and Velma King McBride. She married Alexander Echols.

Mrs. Echols was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

Alberta Echols is survived by her two sons, Bobby Ellison of Cleburne and Johnny Smith of Tacoma, WA; four daughters, Marie Jones and Ella Scott, both of Fort Worth, Naomi Echols of Mexia and Thelma Morgan of Dallas; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; one sister, Eva Mae Graves of Tucson, AZ; one brother, Sam McBride of Waco.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander Echols; parents; siblings, Richard McBride Jr., Lilly Lopez, Dorothy Scott, Levora Young, Johnny McBride, Nelson King and Jack McBride.
