Service for Albino Talavera, 94, of Dallas will be conducted at 9:00 A.M., Wednesday, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Father Sergio Rizo will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Christopher Talavera, Jacob Sotelo, Leonard Sotelo, Joshua Espinosa, Arthur Villa, and Orlando Lyles. Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Talavera, Mike Sotelo, Julian Talavera and Matthew Sotelo. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Tuesday, at the funeral home with a Rosary starting at 7:00 P.M.
Albino Talavera passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017 in Dallas. He was born Dec. 12, 1922 in Fort Davis to Juan and Enriqueta Fierro Talavera. He married Maria Jueurez on July 18, 1942 in Pecos, TX and she preceded him in death on April 2, 2005.
Mr. Talavera worked as a brick mason until retiring and was a loving father, and grandfather. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cleburne.
Survivors include his son, Richard Talavera and wife Ofelia; daughter, Rebecca Sotelo and husband Gabriel, all of Dallas; grandchildren, Lisa Villa, Steve Talavera, Richard Talavera, Gabriel Sotelo Jr., Abel Sotelo, Leonard Sotelo, Alvino Talavera Michael Sotelo and Priscilla Sotelo; 22 great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren, who will miss him greatly. He was also preceded in death by his parents.
