Alfred "Mac" McMillan was born Nov. 25, 1928 in Doddridge County, West Virginia, to Clyde S. and Lura McIntire McMillan. He was 1 of 15 children. He became a Texan in 1946 when the Air Force brought him to Ft. Worth. This is where he met and married Modenia Kyle on Feb. 7, 1947 at College Ave. Baptist Church.
Mr. McMillan has been a resident of Blum since 1963 and has been a deacon of the First Baptist Church of Blum since 1994. He retired from Singer Sewing Machine Co. after 28 years of service. He also retired from Cleburne Ford after 12 years of service.
Mr. McMillan is survived by his wife Modenia of Blum; one daughter, Barbara West of Cleburne; one son, William "Butch" McMillan of Cleburne; two grandchildren, Kevin Phillips and Ashley McMillan both of Cleburne; two brothers, Neal McMillan and Edward McMillan both of Akron, Ohio; three sisters, Eldora Evans of Tucson, AZ., Wanda Roberts and Barbara Lowe both of West Union, West Virginia. He was also blessed with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both his parents; six brothers and three sisters. Alfred "Mac" will be missed and always remembered by his many friends and family.
