Alice Lowry

Memorial service for Alice Elizabeth Beth Lowry, 92, of Keene will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Friday, January 17, 2014 in the Keene Seventh-day Adventist Church. Pastor Bill Kilgore will officiate.

Mrs. Lowry passed away Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014 in Keene. She was born Dec. 1, 1921 in Michigan to George and Frances Baldwin Hainer. She married Morris Callicott Lowry on June 9, 1974 in Loma Linda, CA.

Mrs. Lowry received her Bachelor Degree at Emmanuel Missionary College, now Andrews University. She was working as a student finance officer for Southwestern Adventist University in Keene when she retired and was formerly the Dean of Women at Columbia Union College in Tacoma Park, MD and Atlantic Union College in MA for several years. She enjoyed helping the students and kept a bulletin board of many photos of them.
She was talented at photography, arts and crafts and painting. Beth carefully studied her Bible with dedication and was a member of the Crowley Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Morris Lowry; brother, Marvin Hainer; several generations of nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
