Allene Emery

Graveside services for Allene "Sis" Emery, 78, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2008 in the Godley Cemetery. The Rev. Steve Dill will officiate.

Allene "Sis" Emery passed away Saturday, April 26, 2008 in Keene. She was born August 31, 1929 in Nemo, TX to Travis and Alma Brachwitz Leverett. She married Roy Fletcher Emery who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Emery was a nurses' aid working at Johnson County Memorial Hospital and several nursing homes for over 20 years.She also was a member of North Cleburne Baptist.

Sis Emery is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Rogers and husband, Harold of Arlington; sons, Bruce Homan and wife, Marla of Burleson, Randy Homan and wife, Sissy of Cleburne, David Homan and wife, Brandy of Cleburne and Keith Homan and wife, Mary of Cleburne; grandchildren, Jennifer and AJ Peterson, Suzanne and Rob Matthews, Kurt Homan, Erika and Jim Robinson, Christopher Homan, Ariel Homan and Maisie Homan; step-grandchildren, Jason Jordan and Mark Hunt; brothers, Louis Leverettt and wife Flora of Cleburne and Bud Leverett of Rio Vista; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Grace Matthews and step-great-grandchildren,Trenton Hunt and Gage Jordan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Travis and Alma Leverett;half-sister, Myrtle Thaggard; sisters, Ida Mae Leverett, Lorene Brown, Annie Mae Smith and Cora B. Carper; and brother, Gus Leverett.
