Alpha Tyra

Memorial Service for Alpha Eason Tyra, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 28, 2008 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Rev. Ken Coleman will officiate.
Alpha Eason Tyra passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2008 in Fort Worth. She was born to Erving and Daisy Parrish Eason in Jacksboro, Jack County, Texas.

Alpha had resided in Cleburne, since 1990, where she made some wonderful neighborhood friends. To find her sitting on the porch was an invitation to the neighborhood children to drop by and say hi, a wave to a neighbor, a visit with a passer-by, all made her days special.

She is survived by her brother, Don Eason and wife, Barbara and sister-in-law, Oleta Eason both of Graham. Her surviving children are Lorane and husband, Richard Smith, David Tyra and family, Billie Jean Hearne Childers and husband, Delton and family, Toynua Rasnick and family and daughter-in-law, Doris Tyra and family. To carry on her legacy are many grandchildren and their families, nieces and nephews and their families, cousins and extended family members.

Alpha loved to read, "putter" around in her yard, feed the birds, cook and quilt.

A country road to drive down, a long visit on the front porch of a loved one, a cup of coffee and a slice of fresh made pie shared at the kitchen table, time spent with her children and so much more, all made her smile. She will be missed by many people who loved her.

Alpha was preceded in death by her sons, Neal and David Neal and daughter, Delores; her parents, brothers, Chester, Arden, Thaddus and Loye and sisters, Ermin, Etha and Lola.
