Alton Womack

Graveside services for Alton "Tine" Womack, 83, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 10, 2007 in the Kimball Cemetery. Dr. Joe Stephens will officiate.

Alton "Tine" Womack passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2007 in Ft Worth. He was born September 28, 1923 in Kopperl, TX to Andrew Jackson and Mattie Rene Sparks Womack. He married Mary L. Rhoades on June 11, 1954 in Kopperl.

Mr. Womack worked in the street maintenance department for the City of Cleburne for 15 years. He formerly lived in Kopperl most of his life. Mr. Womak was very active in the Cleburne Senior Citizens activities. He as a Mason in the Kopperl Lodge and was of the Baptist faith.

Alton "Tine" Womack is survived by his wife Mary L. Womack of Cleburne; daughter, Louise Morrow and husband David of Cleburne; step-son, Jeffery Kirkland of Hobbs, New Mexico; brother, Alvin Womack and wife, Georgie of Charlston, South Carolina; sister, Helen Banks of Ft. Worth; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and one sister.
