Services for Amos S. Mears, 79, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 16, 2010 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Rev. Kenneth Jones and the Rev. Brent Shields will officiate. Burial will follow in the Brazos Point Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Sunday.
Mr. Mears, a boat manufacturer, passed away August 12, 2010 in Ft. Worth. He was born April 29, 1931 in Brazos Point to Louis and Ethel Hudson Mears. He married Louise Mears on August 8, 1953 in Cleburne.
He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was a very devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather.
He attended Bethel Temple Assembly of God Church.
Amos Mears is survived by his wife of 57 years, Louise Mears of Cleburne; daughter, Jane Krzysiak and husband Michael of Dallas; sons, Mark Mears and wife Bobbi of Crowley and Gary Mears and wife Rhonda of Cleburne; five grandchildren, Matt Mears and wife Windy, Tara Mears, John, Charlie and William Krzysiak; great grandchildren, Katelynn, Colton and Collin Mears; sister, Ruby Johnson of Cleburne and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.
