Angela Beck Kalnins age 59, passed away encircled by family December 31, 2023. She was born May 20, 1964 in Rapid City, South Dakota to Larry Weslyn and Guy Anne Beck. She married her high school sweetheart, Lester Eugene Kalnins, in April of 1981.
For many years Angela worked as a homemaker where she helped raise her now grown children Katie, Jon and Baylie. Afterwards she loved on her 6 grandchildren Lizzie, Jordan, Tyler, Michael, Aiden, and Riley. While Angela held many traditional jobs. She always said her primary and favorite job was being a homemaker.
Angela loved to love on people. She was a published author and avid quilter. Her hands were rarely still. Her book ‘Jesus Loves Us Even Though’ sold over 500 copies and was a devotional used in the Women’s Ministry program at First Christian Church. With her quilting, she was a member of the Johnson County Quilt Guild with her sister, Michelle Hyde, and her mother Guy Anne Beck and they were featured in September 2022’s Burleson Now. She used her quilting to help the community with various projects and helped restore antique quilts.
While Angela lived in multiple states she remained committed to her faith where she was a Sunday School Teacher and lead Women’s Ministry at the different churches along her travels. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing golf, reading as many books as she could, and enjoying various other crafts.
Angela is survived by her loving husband Lester Kalnins, daughter Katherine Kalnins, son Jon Kalnins & wife Amanda, daughter Baylie Stevens & husband David; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jordan, Tyler, Michael, Aiden, and Riley; her parents Larry Beck & Guy Anne, her sister Michelle Hyde & husband Tony, brother Tracy Beck; plus her many nephews, nieces, cousins and other family and friends. All of whom she loved and touched deeply.
