Service for Anna Faye Wallace Syrus, 68, of Fort Worth will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 25, 2014 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Timothy Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in Baker-Lain Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Letricia Vasquez, Amanda Vasquez, Jill Syrus, Lindsey Vasquez, Savanna Vasquez, Heather Lackey, Jackie Syrus and Jonathan Vasquez.
Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home.
Anna Faye Wallace Syrus passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014 in Longmont, Colorado. She was born January 25, 1946 in Cleburne to Otha Knox and Minnie Faye Spear Wallace. She married Charles Syrus on July 1, 1977 in Cleburne.
Mrs. Wallace was a homemaker and loving mother, grandmother and sister. She was an avid collector of butterflies. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Cleburne and was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Syrus; five children, Lario Vasquez and wife Dawn of Joshua, Lolita Vasquez and husband Francisco Gomez of Fort Worth, Kevin Vasquez and wife Kina of Burleson, Ricky Syrus of Fort Worth and Michael Syrus of Joshua; brother, Donald Fugitt and wife Louise of Cleburne; three sisters, Faye Lackey of Cleburne, Mary Ellen South of Fort Worth, and Dora Wallace Swain and husband Toby Fleet of Houston; 12 grandchildren, LeTricia, Jonathan, Amanda, Kevin, Jackie, Jill, Zachery, Lindsey, Brazos, Savanna, Ashley, and Ricky; 20 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otha Knox “Shorty” and Minnie Faye Wallace; two brothers, James Fugitt and Happy Wallace; sister, Jean Fugitt; infant daughter, Martha Faye Vasquez; and a grandchild, Christopher Syrus.
