Services for Anna Merle Warren, 98, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 13, 2009 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Reverend Al Munger will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Visitation will be Sunday from 3-5 p.m.


Anna Merle passed away Friday, July 10, 2009, in Cleburne. She was born November 23, 1910 in Cleburne to Dorsey Thomas and Jessie Belle McBride Collins. She married Robert E. Lee Warren on December 1932 in Oklahoma.
Mrs. Warren was a retired housekeeping supervisor for Johnson County Memorial Hospital for over 11 years and a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Warren loved her church. She also loved quilting, crocheting, crossword puzzles, working in her yard and garden and her dog, Daisy.

Anna Merle is survived by sons, Joe Wade Warren of Irving, Roy Douglas Warren
of Hurst, Philip David Warren of Cleburne and Thomas Lee Warren of Irving; daughters, Robyna Anne Warren of Bedford, Martha Jane Cox of Cleburne and Melissa Carroll of Mansfield; 25 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Lee Warren on August 20,1965; parents, Dorsey Thomas and Jessie Belle Collins; one brother, Dorsey Thomas Collins; three sisters, Edith Box, Wilma Underhill and Winifred Hinkley and four grandchildren.
