Antonio Gonzalez

Services for Antonio Gonzalez, 76, of Keene, will be conducted at 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 8, 2011 in the Keene Spanish Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor Osvaldo Rigacci officiating. Isaac Gonzalez, Sam Gonzalez, Frank Blanco, Andrew Blanco, Angel Soto, and Alex Falcon will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow in the Keene Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Gonzalez passed away in his home, surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, June 4, 2011. He was born to Santiago Gonzalez and Monserrate Caraballo on May 28, 1935 in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico. Antonio married Lucy Soto on October 17, 1959 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. They have been members of Keene Spanish Seventh-day Adventist Church for many years. He was a devoted and faithful Christian. Antonio worked as a craftsman carpenter, the last fifteen years with Cobra Specialty in Joshua. He was a hard working, family man who often put others needs above his own. He enjoyed gardening and feeding those that he loved. Antonio was known for his sense of humor and maintained it even in his last moments. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. Mr. Gonzalez was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Emilia and Mercedes Gonzalez; and brothers, Agustin and Juan Caraballo.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Lucy Gonzalez; daughter, Noemi Blanco and her husband, Frank; sons, Obed Gonzalez, Samuel Gonzalez and his wife, Lily, Isaac Gonzalez and his wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Jasmin, Hillery and Andrew Blanco and Victor Gonzalez; brothers, Manuel Caraballo and Francisco Gonzalez; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
