Service for Aquila Patterson Read, 84, of Keene will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Monday, May 29, 2017 in the Keene Seventh-day Adventist Church Sanctuary. Elder James Winegardner and Reverend Kenny Rigoulot will officiate. Burial will be in Keene Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home.
Aquila Patterson Read passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017 in Keene. She was born Jan. 21, 1933 to Albert and Clairce Hall Patterson. She married John Read on Aug. 30, 1953 in Madison, TN.
Mrs. Read was an accomplished musician and a loving wife, mother, grand and great grandmother, and a dear friend to many. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Keene.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 63 years, John Read of Keene; sons, David Read of Keene, Campion Read of Dunedin, New Zealand and Clayton Read and wife Donna Lee of Lone Willow; daughter, Melissa Read; grandchildren, Kelly Read and Alan Sangma of Redlands, CA; great granddaughter, Zoe Read of Redlands, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.
