Arturo Westrup

Memorial services for Arturo C. Westrup, 76, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2013, in the Nolan River Road Baptist Church Chapel. Reverend Larry York will officiate.
Art went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, January 2, 2013. He was born to Arthur and Carmen Westrup on July 27, 1936. He is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Anne; daughter Karen Gould, grandchildren Zachary and Annyssa Interrante; daughter Rebecca Rodriguez, grandchildren Michael Rodriguez and Christine Rodriguez Damron, great grandchildren Mackenzie and Dakota Damron; son Thomas Westrup and wife Shawn, grandchildren Reuben and William, daughter Rebekah Westrup, and son David Westrup and wife Amy, grandchildren Molly and Kathleen; sisters Magda Melber, Sylvia Westrup, Thelma Nora Silos and Lucia Salinas and many nieces and nephews. He proudly served as a Green Beret in the 50th Signal Battalion Airborne Corps from 1958-1964 in both Korea and Panama. As a Sergeant (E-5) he received the 50th Battalion Distinguished Service Award in 1963.
Art served faithfully in the Gideons International Cleburne Camp. He was very active in the distribution of Bibles and Testaments and served as the Camp Chaplain. He was a very supportive and active member of the Nolan River Road Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in his name to the Nolan River Road Baptist Church Building Fund, 820 N. Nolan River Rd., Cleburne, TX 76033 or Gideons International, P.O.
