Augustine Mason

Services for Augustine "Augie Dogie" Mason, 69, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Father Sergio Rizo will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Stan Stanfield, Daniel W. Treece III, Alex Castillo, Troy Delaune, Lee Mitchell and W.J. "Booner" Stephenson. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m., Rosary begins at 7.

Augustine Mason passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2009 in Cleburne. He was born October 18, 1939 in Cleburne to Ross Manuel and Petra Fuentes Mason.

Mr. Mason served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He loved the game of baseball. He played high school baseball and in many leagues after.

Augustine is survived by his sisters, Helen Zubia and husband, Ruben of Ft. Worth, Rosita Donahue and husband, Larry of Hillsboro and Delfina Treece of Turlock, CA; nieces and nephews, Ricky Stanfield, Susan Mayfield, Steven Stanfield, Alex Castillo, Sally Ledford, Randy Castillo, Daniel Treece, David Treece, Debbie Kidder and Diana Mayhew. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ross and Petra Mason.
