Ava Summey

Graveside service for Ava Nell Summey, 72, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 8, 2008 in the Emerald Hills Memorial Park in Kennedale. Rev. Tony Tawater will officiate.



Mrs. Summey passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2008 in Cleburne. She was born February 28, 1936 in Aledo, Texas to Drury Cooke and Bettie Nell Paris Cosby. She married James Roland Summey on December 14, 1953 in Jacksboro.



Mrs. Summey was a retired nurses aide and a member of Lone Willow Baptist Church.



Ava Nell Summey is survived by two daughters, Vanessa Shields and husband, Gary of Azle and Brandy Crotts and husband, Adam of Cleburne; two sons, Jeff Summey and wife, Laura of Joshua and Dru Summey and wife, Kelly of Grandview; three sisters, Henri Nell Wright of Lincoln, Ark., Betty Jo Burnett of Granbury and Shirley Grigsby of Cleburne; brothers, Sam Cosby, of Graford and John Cosby of Burleson. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Summey in 1997 and daughter, Deloris Diann Summey.
