Barbara Burchfield, better known as Bobbie, Mom and Non, was a strong wife to one, a loving mother to three, and an "over the top" Nona to ten. Without question, her love for family and friends was beyond measure. She had a servant's heart that required no recognition or praise. She would travel 100 miles to deliver a homemade cake, groceries for the pantry, or clothes for the baby. You never entered her home without the offering of a drink, a snack, or a meal. She wanted to help the fortunate and the unfortunate; the deserving and the undeserving; the beautiful and the not so beautiful. She knew no stranger.
Bobbie's beloved extended family and friends stretch from Alaska to California, from Louisiana to North Carolina, in South Korea, and in cities scattered from Waco, Texas to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Though she traveled the world with Gene Ray, she never lived far from her birthplace in Peoria, Texas Her home will always be in Cleburne, Texas. The FARM will always be the "greatest place on earth" for those who grew up calling her Non.
Her husband calls her unbelievable. Her children call her blessed. Her grandchildren call her THE BEST.
Bobbie's BIG way of filling a room with great food, great surprises, and great laughter will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved her.
