Barbara Carmichall

Services for Barbara Ann Borden Carmichall, 88, of Blum will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Friday, March 10, 2023, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will follow in Blum Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7:00 P.M., Thursday, March 9, 2023, at the funeral home.

Barbara passed away March 6, 2023, in Fort Worth. She was born March 30, 1934, in Cleburne to James Clarence and Minnie Geneva Ellis Borden. Barbara married Billy Gene “Bill” Carmichall on March 18, 1955, in Blum. She was in the insurance industry as an owner operator for over 40 years, retiring at the age of 60. Barbara was loving and kind-hearted. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching and fishing. She liked watching old westerns and was a fan of the Texas Rangers. Barbara was a dog lover especially of Angie. She was known for her cooking. Barbara will missed greatly.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Bill Carmichall; son, Brett Carmichall and wife, Letha; daughter, Brenda Smithwick and, husband, Lee; grandchildren, Megan Carrell and husband, Austin; John Michael Smithwick, and Lauren Smithwick; great-grandchildren, Addilyn Carrell, and Larry Deacon Carrell; sister, Linda Cooper; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other family members and friends.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, James Douglas Borden, Billie Cox and Gladys Judkins.
