Barbara McDowell

Services for Barbara Ann McDowell, 72, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2009 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Rev. Charles Payne will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m.
Barbara Ann McDowell passed away Saturday, July 4, 2009 in Cleburne. She was born September 25, 1936 in Cleburne to Marshall Knox and Stella Thompson Massengale. She married B.L. "Mac" McDowell.
Mrs. McDowell worked for CISD in the food service department. She was of the Baptist faith.
Barbara Ann McDowell is survived by her daughter, Guylyn Fraley and husband, Burr of Statesville, N.C., Pam Whitehead of Godley and Kristi Baker and husband, Terry of Cleburne; grandchildren, Brooke Roamell and husband, Eric, Robyn Rhodes and husband, Joshua, Travis Baker and wife, Tracey and Brandon Baker; two great-grandchildren, Katelynn and Braxton Roamell; brother, Wayne Massengale; sisters, Sonja Massengale, Betty Basham and husband, Roy, Nelda Whitehead and husband, Harrel, Judy Sheffield and husband, Wayne and Margie Hall and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, "Mac" McDowell in 1997 and son-in-law, Marlin Whitehead in 2008.
Memorials may be made to Community Hospice of Cleburne.
