Barbara Ann (Bobbie) Reusch, 87, passed away Sunday, Aug. 2, 2009, at her home in Cleburne. She had been a resident of the area since 1971. She was born to the late Ira L. and Cecelia M. Ward Behling on Nov. 26, 1921, in Buffalo, New York. She married her late husband, William Harry Reusch, also in Buffalo, on Nov. 30, 1940. Bobbie had her doctorate in Domestic Engineering. She was an avid quilter, often donating quilts to various charities. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Sampson World War II Veterans. Her love for laughter and undenying honesty will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and son, William Behling Reusch.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009, at Crosier Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Meals on Wheels of Johnson and Ellis Counties.
Survivors include her daughters and their spouses, Sandra M. and Alan Benedict of Hoodsport, WA, Barbara E. and Alvin Slimp of Cleburne and Cecelia G. and Mark Cawthon of Kerrville; grandchildren, Randall and Kristina; four great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
