Barbara Louise (Shepherd) Thompson

A memorial service for Barbara Louise (Shepherd) Thompson, age 72, will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the Wagon Wheel Cowboy Church in Waxahachie, Texas.

Barbara Thompson passed away peacefully at her home on October 28, 2024. She was born on July 30, 1952, in Akron, Ohio. On January 1, 1991, she married Charles Franklin Thompson in Mansfield, Texas. Throughout her career in the automotive industry, Barbara served as a Title Clerk, known for her dedication and professionalism. She was an active member of the Wagon Wheel Cowboy Church and had a warm-hearted nature that made her friends with everyone she met. Her passions included hunting and driving four-wheelers, and she had a fondness for Hallmark movies. Above all, Barbara cherished her time with her grandchildren and took great joy in their lives. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her love for family, and the joy she brought to those around her.

Barbara is survived by her beloved husband, Charles Thompson; her children, Charles Franklin Thompson, Jr., Timothy James Thompson, Cheryl Lynne Vaughn, and Ashley Rene Patty; as well as eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, William Shepherd, David Shepherd, James Shepherd, and Eric Shepherd.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Joseph and Mary Elizabeth (Shook) Shepherd.
