Basell Pinkerton

Services for Basell Pinkerton, 87, of Godley, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2006 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Rev. Kenneth Coleman will officiate. Burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Sam Pinkerton, Don Dixon, Jim O'Brien, Asa Johnson, Jr., Glen Jernigan and Frank Ellison.

Basell Pinkerton passed away Sunday, October 22, 2006 in Ft. Worth. She was born August 2, 1919 in Midlothian, Texas to Sam and Edna Ellis Mills. She married Sam Pinkerton on June 24, 1938 in Waxachie, TX.

Mrs. Pinkerton retired from Walls Industries as a seamstress after 25 years of service and was a member of First Baptist Church in Godley.

Basell Pinkerton is survived by her son, Bobby Pinkerton and wife Janie of Alvarado; daughters, Betty Jernigan of Arlington and Dixie Lee Parks of Decatur; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephew. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Pinkerton on October 28, 2001; three sisters and three brothers.
