A Graveside service for Beatrice “Ms. B” Gertrude Cooper Weekly, 80, of Cleburne, will be conducted Monday, October 12, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. at Greenlawn Cemetery, Cleburne. Reverend Willie Stevenson will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday at the funeral home from 6-8:00 P.M.
Beatrice Weekly passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020 in Cleburne. She was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on October 16, 1939 to Mathis and Gertrude (Alexander) Cooper. In 1958, she married Minister Joseph Louis Weekly in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She worked for over 10 years as a child development worker for Gateway Early Learning. She was a member of First Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
Ms. B is survived by her son, Jerome Weekly and wife Michelle of Cleburne; brothers, Henry Cooper and wife Aretha of White Hall, Arkansas and Matthew Cooper of Cairo, Georgia; sister, Rachel Austin of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Aliyah Weekly of Fort Worth, Alexa Weekly of Fort Worth, and Kaylee Pearl of Vernon, Texas; numerous nieces, nephew and cousins; and her brother-in-law, Larry Weekly of Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband, Minister Joseph Weekly; her parents, Mathis and Gertrude Cooper; her siblings, Edna May Lockett, Tim Ellis, Narciss Banks, and Mattie Harding.
