Ben Dunsworth

Service for Ben E. Dunsworth, 93, of Joshua will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018 at Lane Prairie Baptist Church. Pastor Jerry Clements will officiate. Burial will follow at Caddo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Damien Raines, Blake Raines, Shelley Raines, Cody Calloway, Bobby Dunsworth, and Ralph King. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, Jan. 12th at the funeral home.

Ben E. Dunsworth passed away Monday, Jan. 1, 2018 in Ft. Worth. He was born June 25, 1924 in Lamesa to Benjamin Evans and Lydia Margaret Cheirs Dunsworth. He married Theo “Pat” Walker on December 2, 1944.

Mr. Dunsworth worked as a flight line supervisor at General Dynamics for 42 years. He was a Mason and a member of Lane Prairie Baptist Church.

Survivors include daughters, Robbie Gilley of Joshua, Kay Carrell and husband Paul of Ft. Worth and Kristi Collins of Ft. Worth; son, Benny Dunsworth and wife Bonny of Joshua; eight grandchildren, Tami Callaway and husband Barry, Laura Valdez and husband Genaro, Tommy Carrell and wife Cassandra, Leah Jones and husband Doug, Shelley Raines and husband Damien, Bobby Dunsworth, Kelsey Greer and husband Corey, and Ashley Collins; 13 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Dunsworth of Portales, NM; and sisters, Doris Martin of Logan, NM and Pat Yarborough of Lubbock. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Theo “Pat” Dunsworth; son, Lee Roy Dunsworth; four brothers and five sisters.
