Ben Hughes

Graveside services for Ben Hughes, 89, of Glen Rose, will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 20, 2008 in the Rosehill Cemetery. Mr. Jesse Garner will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday from 5-7 p.m.

Ben Hughes passed away Thursday, December 18, 2008 in Glen Rose. He was born April 12, 1919 in Johnson County. He married Betty Ruth Grigsby on May 25, 1946 in Cleburne.

Mr. Hughes served in the US Army during WWII. He was a carpenter and of the Baptist faith.

Ben Hughes is survived by his son, Tommy Hughes and wife, Teressa of Cleburne; five grandchildren, Aaron, Jon, Laura, Amy and Laura Faye and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty; daughter, Diane O'Kelley; three brothers and two sisters.
