Memorial services for Benny Leck, 62, lifelong resident of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 14, 2012 in the Crosier Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Mr. Buddy Fry will officiate.
Mr. Leck passed away on Friday, August 10, 2012 at his home in Cleburne. He was born May 27, 1950 also in Cleburne. Benny married Sharron Ann Fowler on June 18, 1977 in Cleburne. He has been a member of Field Street Baptist Church for over 30 years. Benny worked in the maintenance department for several industries including the Rio Vista ISD, Santa Fe Railroad, and General Dynamics. Benny had the ability to find the fun and laughter in anything. A perfect example of this is when he worked at HEB he would hide and squirt everyone he knew with his squirt bottle. Benny was known for his BBQ talents, especially smoking hams. He loved to fish, bowl, golf, and play dominoes. He was a family man in every sense of the phrase. He was the neighbor everyone wanted to have. Benny's giving nature and outgoing spirit will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his father, Benny Leck, Sr. in 1980.
