Benton Burks

Services for Benton T. Burks, 65, of Cleburne will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2009 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Dr. Danny Crosby and Mr. Ken Beck will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery.

Benton T. Burks passed away Friday, March 27, 2009 in Cleburne. He was born February 21, 1944 in Ft. Worth to Benton Cahill and Nina Bess Glaze Burks.

Mr. Burks was a machinist in the aircraft industry. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Cleburne, where he served in the Men's Ministry. He also was a member of the Second Time Around Car Club.

Benton Burks is survived by his son, Timothy Burks; grandson, Alex Burks; brother,Bobby L. Burks and wife, Arlene, several cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ann Burks; son, Nathan Burks; daughter, Melody Burks and his parents.
