Bernice Haley

Service for Bernice Haley, 87, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Friday, November 17, 2023, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel with Pastor John Carl officiating. Burial will follow in Buel Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 P.M., Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers are John Haley, III, Barry Haley, Larry Haley, Kris Haley, Jacob Haley, and Daniel Britton.

Bernice passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023, in Keene. She was born June 12, 1936, in Cleburne to John Steadman and Norris Post. Bernice married John Haley, Jr., on June 18, 1951, in Cleburne. She was a member of Buel Baptist Church. Bernice was known as a woman of God, devoted to her faith, and a humble servant with a heart for those who needed her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, John Haley, Jr.; sons, John Haley, III and wife, Sharon, Barry Haley and wife, Lori, Larry Haley and wife, Amanda; grandchildren, Kris Haley and wife, Lauren, Robyn Haley and husband, Jeremy, Leslie Haley, Ashley Hicks and husband, Joseph, Derick Haley, and Shawn Ward; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Bernice was preceded in death by her father, John Steadman; mother, Norris Post; brother, Talmage Steadman; sister, Cora Bell Hankins; and son, Aubrey Haley.
