Bertha Carmichael

Bertha Mae Carmichael passed away Friday, May 12, 2006 in Bedford. She was born June 1, 1919 in Johnson County, Texas to Clarence and Dessie Burton Hutcherson. She married James Emmitt Carmichael on November 30, 1943 in Johnson County, Texas. A lifetime resident of Johnson County, Bertha Mae owned and operated the Cameo Beauty Salon for 45 years. She was an active member of Field Street Baptist Church, The Twi-Light Garden Club, Republican Ladies and Texas Cosmetology Assoc. Bertha Mae loved to travel and had many wonderful friends in her life. Her spirit, strength, and grace will remain in our hearts forever.
Bertha Mae Carmichael is survived by her brother Clarence Garland Hutcherson and wife Margie; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmitt Carmichael on May 20, 1987.
