Bertha Hancock

Services for Bertha Lee Hancock, 78, of Covington, will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2007 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Mr. Dennis Crecelius will officiate. Burial will be in Derden Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dickie Simmons, Keith Simmons, Carl Martwich, Kenneth Hensley, Randy Turner and Mitch McFarland. Honorary pallbearers will be Butch Phillips, Kenneth McAnally, Ray Mayhon, Don Ward, Kay Scott and Charles Melton.

Bertha Lee Hancock passed away Sunday, May 27, 2007 in Cleburne. She was born April 7, 1929 in Covington, TX to Henry Lee and Cora Ann Summers Hall. She married Herbert Lee Hancock on October 2, 1947 in Rio Vista.

Mrs. Hancock was a homemaker and a member of Rio Vista Church of Christ.

Bertha Hancock is survived by her sons, Danny Hancock and wife Terri of Ft. Worth and Steve Hancock and wife Paula of Haslet; daughter, Virginia Young and husband Jeff of Cleburne; brother, Odell Hall; sisters, Ruby Burnett and Novella Pearson; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert L. Hancock on April 9, 2005; brothers, Overton, Hall, Evern Hall and Jimmy Hall; and sisters, Alta Thurston and Opal Hall.
