Bertha Snodgrass

Graveside services for Bertha Marie Snodgrass, 57, will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 18, 2013 in the Union Cemetery, near Lott, Texas. There will be an open visitation at the funeral home from 12:00-6:00 P.M. on Thursday.

Bertha passed away Sunday, October 13, 2013 in Cleburne. She was born January 28, 1956 in Waco, Texas to Raymond Monroe and Mae Jeanette Thomas Snodgrass. Bertha was a unique lady, who referred to herself in third person constantly. She had the gift of laughter, always able to bring joy to those around her through her antics such as snorting or favorite phrases such as “goody goody”. Bertha had an ornery streak but was also very affectionate with those she loved. Since 1987, she lived and received services in a Johnson County group home, which is currently operated by Pecan Valley Centers. She endeared herself to all those that knew her and cared for her there. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Bertha was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Thelma Copus.

Survivors include her siblings, Wanda Draper, Peggy Killeen, Raymond Monroe Snodgrass, Jr., Kay Miles, and Tina Richards; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends, including her many friends and the staff of Pecan Valley MHMR.
