Service for Bessie Lee Mears Dixon, 81, of Alvarado, will be conducted 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 12, 2019 in the Crosier- Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Point Cemetery near Lillian. Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
She passed away January 9, 2019 in Grandview.
Bessie was born November 24, 1937 in Brazos Point, to Lee Simpson and Beatrice (Powell) Mears.
She married Harden Dixon on February 22, 1957. He preceded her in death on December 6, 2003.
Bessie was an activities director for the Grandview Nursing Home. She loved her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Dale Dixon and wife Tonya; daughter, Tricia Parker and husband Brian; grandchildren, Tausha Miller and husband Dustin, Brandi Hall and husband Vern, Ashley McNiel and husband Trey, Scott Beam and wife Kalika and Brooke Cobb and husband Lejay; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Lewis Mears; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother Clyde Mears and sisters Martha Moon and Fannie Nelson.
