Services for Bettie Lou Bryan 88, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10am Tuesday, July 19, 2005 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bryan died Saturday, July 16, 2005, in Fort Worth. She was born January 6, 1917, in Bell County, Texas to Arthur Marvin and Martha Roberts Moore Walker. She married Morris Mitchell Bryan on December 9, 1939 in Cleburne.
Mrs. Bryan was a homemaker and a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church where she was very active in teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir, serving as a lay leader, and in many other offices. She was also involved with Meals-on-Wheels, the American Cancer Society and was an election worker for Johnson County.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to the staff of the Wren House, the Cleburne Rehabilitation and Care Center, her church family and her many friends who have been supportive of her through the years.
Mrs. Bryan is survived by her daughter Martha Cole and husband Bill of Cleburne, sons Mike Bryan and wife Kay of Rendon; Richard Bryan and wife Mary of Burleson; grandchildren, Kent Cole and wife Melissa, Kirk Cole and wife Susan, Brady Bryan and wife Carol, Zac Bryan, Sara Roland and husband Ricky, Wade Bryan and Austin Bryan; great grandchildren, Amanda Cole, Jocelyn Cole, Ella Cole, Sierra Bryan, Abigail Bryan and Harper Roland; brothers-in-law, Oscar Bryan and wife Theresa and Louie Byrn; sister-in-law Wilma Walker and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Bryan, two sister and five brothers.
Memorials may be made to the St. Paul United Methodist Church in Cleburne.
