Betty Y. Adair, 75, of Godley, passed away Monday, May 27, 2109 in Godley, Texas. She was born October 6, 1943 to Robert Norwood and Mary Yealeta (Lawson) Yater in El Campo, Texas. She married James Ray Adair in January of 2004 in Godley, Texas. He preceded her in death in 2015.
Mrs. Adair was a member of and active in Godley United Methodist Church. She was Assistant Vice President of the Trust Department and a teller for Wells Fargo Bank. Betty was an incredibly talented woodcarver and was in woodcarving clubs in both Granbury and Cleburne. Stray dogs knew her to be a soft touch who wouldn’t turn them away. She loved her friends, and she loved her kids. Traveling abroad with friends and family was one of the joys in her life.
Survivors include daughter, Maria Phillips and husband Jeff; son, Alex Rothdeutsch and wife Shorty; step-daughter Sheryl Adair; grandchildren, Adam Phillips and wife Brooke, Amanda Cooper and husband Brandon, Emily Griggs and husband Sean, Samantha Timberman and boyfriend Steve, and Dylan Timberman and girlfriend Lindsay; great granddaughter, Oliva Cooper; brother, Robert Yater and wife Linda; sister, Frances Woodbridge; several nieces and nephews and other family and friends who loved her and whom she loved.
She was also preceded by parents, daughter Nicole Timberman, and brother-in-law Dick Woodbridge.
