Betty Jean Cordell, 84, of Cleburne passed away December 29, 2022 in Cleburne. She was born December 11, 1938 in Asheville, North Carolina. Betty was a woman of faith. She has been described as being a true “lady”.
She loved to sing and write poetry. Betty liked sewing and crocheting. She was known for her baking and sharing with others. She loved “pretty” things such as lace and flowers. Her world revolved around her family. Everyone who met her loved her. She left a lasting mark on the many lives she touched.
Betty is survived by her children, Becky Burns, James Burns, Kim Robbins and Ken Smith; 9 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; brothers, James “Jim” Cordell, David Hall; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends and relatives.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Margaret Hall; and daughter, Gloria Jean Burns.
A private service will be held a later date.
