Betty passed away March 22, 2022 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born April 17, 1947 in Rotan, Texas to Willie Alexander and Odessa Pearl Boren Bogle. Betty married Edwin Melton Davis, Sr. on July 5, 1963 in Snyder, Texas. She was a bookkeeper most of her life working for construction companies and churches. She was a member of Cleburne Family Fellowship for over 35 years. Betty's faith was her foundation and the driving force in her life. She had a servant's heart, never seeking the spotlight, content to work behind the scenes to help anyone in need. Betty was known for her giving spirit and hospitality. One more at the table was welcome and there was always room for anyone needing a place to stay. Strong, but gentle is a perfect description for Betty. She was tough and overcame many obstacles in life, while simultaneously remaining meek with a generous spirit. Her family was a joy to her, particularly her grandchildren. Each one brought a great source of pride to her life. Their Gran made sleepovers and swim parties fun events that will be fondly remembered. Betty loved to laugh and had a mischievous sense of humor. Her devotion to faith and family, love of life and laughter, and her generous heart will be greatly missed.
Betty is survived by her children and their spouses, Eddie and Sherri Davis, Patrice and Phill Brown, and Jaycne and Charla Conner; grandchildren and their spouses, Abigail Davis, Davis and Kaitlin Brown, Bethany Brown, Justin and Jordan Cox, Colten and Haley Conner, Caitlynn Conner, and Camille Conner; great-grandson, Declan Cox; sister, Nancy Brown; brothers and sisters-in-law, Darrel and Litha Davis, Judy Davis, Janice Northerns and Bill McGlothing, and Kendall and Wendy Davis; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; and host of other relatives and friends.
