Betty Gomez

Services for Betty Jean Gomez, 67, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 17, 2009 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m.

Betty Jean Gomez passed away Monday, December 14, 2009 in Cleburne. She was born August 2, 1942 in Malvern, Arkansas to Paul and Virginia (Hodges) Holmes. She married Pete A. Gomez on August 21, 1964 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Mrs. Gomez worked for MHMR of Cleburne for 14 years as a community support and case manager. She served as past president for All Nations Alliance.

Betty Jean Gomez is survived by her husband of 45 years, Pete Gomez of Cleburne; children, Ben Alexander, Jr., John Clinton Almond Alexander and Elizabeth Grase Almond Gomez; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bob, Charles, James, Paul and Donald Holmes; sisters, Sharon, Connie, and Mary Francis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Virginia Hodges Holmes.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
