Graveside service for Betty Moore Holt, 95, of Rio Vista, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 5, 2023 in Rio Vista Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Lanmon, Jason Tidwell, Tim Peugh and Tyler Patterson. Visitation will follow the service from 10:30-11:30 A.M., in the First Baptist Church in Rio Vista.
Mrs. Holt passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2023 in Cleburne. She was born April 18, 1928 in Hill County. She married George Leon Holt on March 2, 1973 in Cleburne. Mrs. Holt worked as a seamstress for Walls Industries, cafeteria worker for Kopperl ISD and an upholsterer in the airplane industry. She did the upholstery for Elvis Presley’s airplane “The Lisa Marie”. She still had the upholster swatches from that plane. Mrs. Holt is a member of First Baptist Church Rio Vista.
Mrs. Holt is survived by her grandchildren, Tim Peugh of Rio Vista, Robin Lanmon and husband, Robert of Joshua, Jeanne Frazier and husband, C.N. of McGregor, Jason Tidwell and wife, April of Joshua; 9 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Jerald Moore and wife, Doris of Tow, Texas. step-children, Gary Holt and wife, Lisa of Trophy Club, Debbie Ezzell of Tyler, Sandy Dexheimer of Tyler, Linda Vass and husband, Donnie of Dripping Springs;
Mrs. Holt is preceded in death by her parents, James Edward Moore and Emily Susan (Young) Moore; husband George Holt on December 26, 2011; children, Eugene Peugh, Linda Garner, Ernest Peugh; siblings, James Moore, Benny Moore, Bobby Moore and Billie Stephens.
