Services for Betty Jewett, 76, of Cleburne will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M., Tuesday, prior to the service.

Betty Jewett passed away Friday, Dec. 9, 2016 in Dallas. She was born July 7, 1940 in Cleburne to John Henry and Linda Stewart Skiles. She married Howard Jewett on Sept. 11, 1958 in Godley.

Mrs. Jewett was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and a dear friend to many. She enjoyed cooking and baking and was the world’s best pecan pie maker. Betty was of the Church of Christ faith.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 58 years, Howard Jewett; son, David Jewett and wife Bennie Lynn; grandchildren, Delores and Rocky Davis, Kristin Jewett, Jason and Amberly Jewett, and Laura Lynne and Billy DePriest; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jason, Cade, Laura Beth, and newborn great granddaughter and namesake, Resa Lorene; four step great grandchildren; brothers, Charles Skiles and Johnny Skiles and wife Dana; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents.
