Bono-- Betty Jo Martin, 82, passed away to be with our Father and Savior Monday, March 24, 2008.
Celebration of Life: 10am, Thursday, at the Travis Avenue Baptist Church Sanctuary, 800 West Berry Street, Fort Worth. The Service will be followed by Family time in the Church Welcome Center. A private entombment will be held at 1pm, LCM Ranch Cemetery.
Betty Martin, was born August 25, 1925 in Fort Worth to CW Hubbard and Grace McAlister Hubbard. She was the youngest of seven siblings who have all preceded her in death. Betty lived a long and fruitful life. She was a loving wife to LC Martin Jr. for 60 years and a wonderful mother to her three sons. Betty served on the Edgecliff City council for 10 years. She was a charter member of Johnnie's Book Club and member of the Thursday Bible study. She was very active at Travis Avenue Baptist Church where she sang in the Praise Singers Choir and was a Director for the Sanctuary Bible Class for 20 years. Betty's faith in our Lord and devotion to her Family were unshakable. Her kindness and desire to help others set her apart.
The Family gives special thanks to Mom's healthcare professional Martha Crow and Rose Pack for all the kind and loving care they gave Betty.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers donations to the Travis Avenue Baptist building fund or charity of your choice.
Survivors: Beloved husband LC Martin Jr., sons LC Martin III and wife Noel, Bruce Martin and wife Shawn, and Rip Martin. Eight Grandchildren, one Great Grandson and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
