Service for Betty J. McCommas, 88, of Joshua will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 5, 2021, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will follow in Caddo Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4:00 P.M., Sunday, July 4, 2021, in the funeral home.

Betty J. McCommas passed away July 1, 2021, in Grandview. She was born November 18, 1932, in Jefferson County, Alabama to Jack Lafayette and Ola Belle Hannah Hallmark. Betty married Raymon “Ray” Henry McCommas on March 27, 1948, in Mesquite. She was a homemaker and known as a good and loving mother and “Mamaw”. Betty had a strong will and independent streak. She was a devoted Christian. Mamaw was the “Bingo Queen” for many years. She was a member of First AOG Church in Joshua.

Betty is survived by her children, Linda Pickens and husband Phil, Jesse McCommas, and Kenneth McCommas; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and host of other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray; children, Larry, Ricky, and Deborah McCommas; and 6 siblings.
