Bettye Hobbs

Bettye Lee Hobbs, 69, of Cleburne passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013, in Cleburne. She was born May 29, 1943, in Cleburne to Donald and Helen Sutton Kinser. She married Bobby Hobbs in October 1964 and he preceded her in death in 1996.

Bettye, also known as D by her grandchildren, worked as the childrens librarian at the Cleburne Public Library for more than 20 years before retiring several years ago. She was very family oriented and loved children and cats.

She was also an avid reader and gardener. Bettye had a great sense of humor and enjoyed traveling across the United States. She also enjoyed thrift shopping for bargains. She attended Granbury Street Church of Christ.

Survivors include her children, Donna Hobbs and Wesley Hobbs; grandchildren, DeAnna Williams and Rebecca Williams and husband, John Robertson; four great-grandchildren, Jaydan, Andrew, Tre and Azlynn; sister, Kayellen Malone; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
