Graveside service for Billie JoAn Pruitt Walls Steagall, 80, of Blum will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Monday, January 26, 2015 in Blum Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home.

JoAn “Annie” Steagall passed away Friday, January 23, 2015 at her home in Blum. She was born August 19, 1934 in Bosque County on the White ranch to William Leonard and Susie M. (Mama Sue) Young Pruitt.

Annie as known by family and friends and Mee-Maw by grandchildren was a homemaker and an avid reader. She advanced classes, attended Blum School and graduated at the age of 16. Her home was always full of music and her passion was her family. Her jewels were her grandchildren and children.

Survivors include her sons, Billy Pete Walls and wife Julie and David Walls, all of Blum; daughters, Dobie Durham of Cleburne and Melissa Steagall of Blum; grandchildren, Ben Allen and wife Shelley of Cleburne, Randy Allen of Blum, KC Davis and husband Cody of Blum and Kelley Brewer and husband Reagan of Blum; nine great grandchildren; sisters, June Melton and husband George of Concord, North Carolina, Nola Gore and husband Gene of Laverne, Tennessee, and Faye Roarke and husband Jack of Fairfield Glade, Tennessee, brothers, Leslie Pruitt and wife Carol of Castilian Springs, Tennessee and Steve Nave and wife Vickie of Smyrna, Tennessee; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin Steagall; son, Michael Heath; and granddaughter, Sara Walls.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the ICU nurses at Texas Health Cleburne and hospice caregivers, Doug and Sade.
