Service for Billy Don Blackwood, 71, of Fort Worth will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Monday, February 21, 2022, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will follow in Lightfoot Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7:00 P.M., Sunday, February 20, 2022, at the funeral home.
Billy passed away February 13, 2022, in Fort Worth. He was born September 21, 1950, in Cleburne to William Alden and Ellen Earlene Homan Blackwood. Billy married LeeAnne Elliott on January 14, 2005, in Southlake. As a 1969 graduate of Joshua High School, Billy was awarded the John Philip Sousa award while playing trombone for the Spirit of Joshua band. He graduated from Texas State Technical Institute in 1974. Billy was a master technician for Chrysler for 35 years and a master scuba diver. He loved cars, drag racing and could fix anything. He was also a master scuba diver, loved fishing, hunting, motorcycles and traveling. Billy served as deacon at Burleson Church of Christ for several years.
Billy is survived by wife, LeeAnne Blackwood; children, Melissa Lee and Christian Blackwood; stepchildren, Jocelyn Runnebaum and Matthew Runnebaum; grandchildren, Maci Lee, Cami Lee, Icarus Lohraum, Endymion Lohraum and Errol Staples.
