Billy Jim Booth, 84, of Godley passed away Saturday, August 22, 2015 in Godley. He was born June 24, 1931 in Cleburne to Martris F. and Bernice Audrey Johnson Booth. He married Laura Annette Wallis on May 21, 1955 and she preceded him in death after 44 years together.
Mr. Booth graduated from Cleburne High School and attended North Texas State University. He worked in building construction until retirement. He was an avid reader, who enjoyed baseball and cars. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Robbie N. Bean Booth of Godley; children, Laura Burke and husband Michael of Ft. Worth and Luann Parks and husband Michael of Godley; step grandchildren, Shawn Burke of Cedar Hill, Patrick Burke and Aaron Burke, both of Ft. Worth; step great granddaughter, Audrey Burke of Ft. Worth; brother-in-law, Monroe Wallis and wife Rita of Godley; nephew, Monty Wallis of Godley; Robbie’s sons, Jay Bean and wife Caryl of Joshua and Randy Bean and wife Sandy of Haltom City and family; friends and neighbors, Maxie and Joveda Savage; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, F.L. Miller; and in-laws, Herman T. and Bliss Franklin Wallis.
